Hippus HandShoe Mouse Review:
The name of this gadget speaks for itself, it is a shoe for the hand, only it’s a mouse! But seriously handshoe is another term for the word “glove”. According to Hippus, it is ‘based on proper medical university research and extensive field testing’. Wow, the Hippus Handshoe Mouse must be something isn’t it?
The Handshoe Mouse supports your whole hand, from the bottom of the wrist up to the tip of your fingers, and from your thumb to the end of your pinky. The makers of this mouse intended directly to target people with RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), Arthritis, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. There are no other special features compared to a standard mouse.
Yes the Hippus Handshoe Mouse does support the whole hand, providing a relaxed angle that is neither vertical nor parallel to the surface. However there are undeniably a lot of negative feedbacks for this mouse. It prevents your wrist from twisting, yes, however it passes the repetitive movement to your elbow and shoulder. Ergo, it defeats the purpose! And it is just so awkward to use.
We only recommend the Hippus Handshoe Mouse if you have a severely broken wrist, who never use computers for long hours, and used to awkwardness. Then again you can buy a wrist brace and a good quality vertical mouse, and never mind how many hours you are working.
