Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard Review:

This is Microsoft’s newest released keyboard and the fastest selling ergonomic keyboard in the market today. The Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard came out together with the Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse. Not only they coincide functionally with each other, but they just look stunning together. Consider these two as the “one-two punch” of the modern day personal computer.

Th Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard is proof that technology today is improving for the better. Both the keyboard and numpad are wireless and battery powered, which are included when purchased. You can keep the numpad aside if you don’t usually use it, as it is totally separated from the keyboard. The bottom is magnetic so you can easily attach and detach the incliner or battery cover. Unlike 4000, this keyboard’s keypads are more shallow, just like from a laptop’s. Hence typing is less stressful, and produces minimal noise.

On a negative note, some fast typists claim that the shift key at times does not work when trying to type in a capital letter or a special key. Also, the wireless usefulness is not strong enough since moving away more than 3 feet from the USB receiver can already cause typing errors. Furthermore, after just a week of usage, the slightly spongy palm rest will tend to leave a wrist mark you can notice if you check thoroughly.

The Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard is flat on both ends while gradually inclining upwards in the center forming an arc shape which encourages your fingers to position itself in a more natural form. Unlike the 4000, the keypads are thinner hence it is much easier to type. The palm rest at the bottom provides an extra comfort and is contoured at an angle to best support your tired wrist.
